“Mr. Abdul Sattar Soomro was born on 9th December, 1968, at Village Bhagudero, located two miles away from Darbelo, (The city of S. Allah-Ando Shah), Taluka Kandiaro. He received his Primary education from G.P.S. Bhagudero, under the tutelage of his father and esteemed teacher, Sain Muhammad Chhuttal Soomro, commonly known as Ustad Qazi. He continued his studies in Class VI at G.H.S. Darbelo, and matriculated from G.H.S. Kandiaro in year 1985. He passed F.Sc, from G.D.C. Kandiaro in year 1987, followed by the B.A. (Regular) from G.D.C. Kandiaro in year 1989. Mr. Soomro pursued a Master of Arts (Private) from the same institution, after which, he earned his LL.B. from the Government Law College, Khairpur Mir's in 1992. Furthering his education, he completed an English Language Course at the Pakistan American Cultural Centre, Hyderabad, and in 2013, he was conferred with LL.M. degree from University of Karachi. He began his legal practice as an advocate under the mentor-ship of his Senior, the Late Mr. Justice Sain Ghulam Nabi Soomro, at Dadu. On 21 ^ 31 September, 1997, he was appointed as a full-time Public Prosecutor in Law Department in Dadu. His appointment as a Deputy District Attorney (BPS-17) was followed on 24 ^ (th) August, 2000, after successfully passing the P.C.S. (Examination), under the Sindh Public Service Commission.He was elected as a GENERAL SECRETARY, DISTRICT BAR ASSOCIATION,Dadu, for the year 2000. He commenced his judicial carrier on 11 ^ (th) December, 2001, when he was appointed as a Civil Judge & Judicial Magistrate (BPS-17) and was posted at Sukkur. His judicial service, then included postings at Karachi West, Pir Jo Goth, Karachi Central, Khairpur Mir's and Karachi East. In 2013, he was elevated to the position of Senior Civil Judge & ASJ, and was posted at Sukkur as 2 ^ (nd) Senior Civil Judge & ASJ, on 14th June, 2013. In April 2015, Mr. Soomro was transferred to Khairpur Mir's, where he served as 1 Senior Civil Judge & ASJ. In April 2016, he was promoted to the position of Additional District & Sessions Judge, and was posted as 8 ^ (tn) Additional District & Sessions Judge, Karachi South, on 14 ^ (th) June, 2016. Mr. Soomro has since held various distinguished positions, including assignments in Qambar, Mir Pur Mathelo and Kashmore. His most recent transfer took place on 8th May, 2024, where he continues to serve as 1 Additional District & Sessions Judge/MCTC, at Shaheed Benazirabad. . ”
